Addressing issues such as water quality, habitat conservation and effluents is imperative to ensure minimal environmental discomfort. By controlling the pollutants, water oxygen levels can be stabilized and algae bloom managed to an optimum level. When consumed by humans, the effectiveness to fight ailments when taking those antibiotics is impacted significantly.

Adherence to worker safety, community rights laws and child labor must be the top priority of every aquaculture industry aiming to succeed.  Practices which are in compliance with the community rules and local culture must be followed.  Since the industry opens up an array of opportunities for people to work, measures must be taken to ensure they get a safe environment to work in. 

Maintenance of Animal Health and Welfare to Control Diseases and Produce a Better Feed

Spatial planning must be implemented to avoid diseases that are caused by issues such as tank overcrowding. By ensuring enough space, the chances of spread of diseases is significantly reduced.  Feeding, transport, and stocking are practices that must be carried out carefully in order to maintain the health of the organism.
