India’s economy is well supplemented by its industrial and commercial industries. The country has also encouraged the growth of employment by selecting specific places for the growth of business and commerce in various different metropolitans. With the rapid expansion of companies taking place all over the country, these business districts serve as the point of interaction for a lot of industries. From software companies that settle down mostly in Bangalore to traditional family-oriented conglomerates that operate out of Mumbai, India has an eclectic mixture of areas that serve a variety of purposes that contribute in their own way to the country’s economic and social growth.

Here are a few business districts that have helped companies establish a base in this country while being accessible to both its employees and customers.

Bangalore CBD

Known as the Silicon Valley of India, Bangalore has its Central Business District or CBD, which boasts of skyscrapers that host a lot multinational companies and also serves as headquarters for a lot of industry leaders. The city has recently seen a digital revolution, with the e-commerce industry growing from the CBD’s hub. Companies like Flipkart and Amazon have their main offices here and the area has also been instrumental in creating jobs for a lot of people with different skill sets, helping India’s unemployment rate by a lot.

Connaught Place, Delhi

The perfect mixture of past and present, Connaught Place is ideally constructed in Central Delhi and was constructed in the 20th century under the rule of the Britishers. It is one of the biggest commercial districts in India and has recognisable structures like the Statesman building and the Hindustan Times building. It has also recently become a place for social gathering, with its restaurants and bars ensuring that the district has a happening night life too!

Fort, Mumbai

One of the oldest business districts in the country, Fort was formed under the remains Fort George, and it became important as a business hub for Britishers during the 1800s. Because of its proximity to the sea and also being close to other business districts of Mumbai, Fort became a very important place for trade and commerce. In the present the area is flanked by the Bombay Stock Exchange, Reserve Bank of India’s head office and the Tata Building which is the main operating office of the Tata Group. It has also seen the emergence of newer buildings like KCT Group of Companies’ One Forbes which is heavily inspired by the classic vibe of the area, coupled with modern interpretations.
